CheapOair announces up to 50% savings to its 3MM customer base on over 85,000 negotiated hotel rooms worldwide with the lowest rates online, including last minute hotel rooms from 2-to-5 star Hotels.

What separates CheapOair from other OTA's (online travel agencies) is their ability to buy hotel rooms directly from suppliers; this radically reduces the rate, enabling CheapOair to pass that savings onto their customers. Additionally, CheapOair has acquired thousands of unsold hotel rooms at half price. Some of the types of deals that can be found are 4-Star deals at the Sheraton Safari Resort Orlando for $62, Sonesta Bayfront Hotel Coconut Grove/Miami for $77, Crowne Plaza Dallas Gallaria for $77 and Wembley Plaza Hotel - London for $59. For more deals, visit the hotels section (http://www.cheapoair.com/default.aspx?tabid=3664) on the CheapOair website.

Customers can compare hotel rates by city, airport, or landmark on notable brand hotel chains. If the hotel purchased on CheapOair is not the lowest rate for the exact date and length of stay, and a lower rate is found on another top OTA, CheapOair will credit their customer USD$10 on their next hotel reservation made through CheapOair.com.

A spokesperson for CheapOair remarks, "We see this deal as a win-win proposition. Our customers are very web savvy and budget conscious. More so during economically challenging times, our customers should have the opportunity to purchase affordable travel and take advantage of much needed price breaks as stress free as possible."

Because of the directly negotiated exclusive hotel deals, CheapOair customers may also receive free hotel room upgrades and free night stays at nearly half price. As CheapOair's spokesperson further points out, "If you look to book, we offer last-minute deals that include 2-Star rates at 5-Star Hotels as well as luxury suites."

CheapOair's easy online search platform gives consumers new and speedy options to view results: the "Qwik View" is a unique display that allows hundreds of hotels to be viewed and compared at once, as well as the standard "List View." When available, many hotel listings show rates using AAA, AARP and other discounts.

ABOUT CHEAPOAIR

Based in New York City with global offices and 24/7 customer support, CheapOair is a privately held company, known for specially negotiated rates and technology products for consumers and businesses in corporate and leisure travel.

Airline spent millions to ensure guests were home for Christmas

WestJet Airlines today released information regarding the efforts made by its employees to get as many guests as possible home for Christmas during this historic and unprecedented holiday travel season. In total, WestJet has spent approximately $2 million in the past six days to care for guests stranded across the country.

The most severe and widespread winter weather across Canada in nearly 40 years wreaked havoc with travel coast to coast, causing numerous airport closures and record numbers of flights delays and cancellations.

Ken McKenzie, WestJet's Executive Vice-President, Operations, commented, "This week was WestJet's finest hour, despite the delays and cancellations. We provided for our guests in their time of need and truly demonstrated WestJet's caring attitude. This was an unprecedented situation and we responded in an unprecedented way."

"Airline tariffs do not require airlines to provide meal vouchers or hotel accommodations if the flight cancellation is the result of inclement weather," Mr. McKenzie explained. "At WestJet, we believe it's important to do the right thing. During this situation of severe weather, uncertainty and the time of year, the right thing was for us to provide guest relief in the form of meal vouchers, hotel accommodations and transfers. It is our belief that we are the only airline in Canada to provide this level of service to its guests."

"Operating safely was and continues to be our first priority," continued Mr. McKenzie. "It comes down to lots of smart, resourceful and selfless people stepping forward to keep our planes flying. As an example, our airport and procurement teams were able to secure an adequate supply of de-icing fluid which allowed us to continue operations in and out of Vancouver."

At one point in time, in the wake of the severe weather, WestJet was faced with as many as 4,500 guests who would not have made it home in time for Christmas if the airline did not demonstrate its can-do attitude.

"We regret we were unable to get this number down to zero," lamented Ken McKenzie. Despite our best efforts, 130 guests remained to be flown, which is the equivalent of one flight, as of December 25th."

Here is a breakdown of what WestJet spent between December 20 and today, in an effort to get our guests home.

    -   More than 6,000 hotel rooms were provided free of charge to stranded
guests at a cost of more than $500,000
    -   More than 25,000 meal vouchers were provided to guests in airports at
        a cost of approximately $220,000.
    -   $250,000 on ground transportation including taxis and chartered buses
    -   Aircraft were chartered from third party airlines at a cost of
approximately $325,000 to assist in clearing the backlog of stranded
        guests.

Above and beyond the dollars and cents, there are hundreds of stories of WestJetters who went the extra mile during this period, including one employee who ran 10 kilometres to work in minus 20 degree weather after his car broke down, and countless office staff who manned check-in counters, baggage belts and other locations.

"I am enormously proud of WestJetters for their many acts of selflessness to help our guests," said WestJet President and Chief Executive Officer Sean Durfy. "When you see Executive Vice-Presidents flying aircraft on Christmas Day and so many others taking time away from their own family celebrations, you know you have a team of people who are completely focused on caring for our guests."

AirTran Airways Continues To Document Santa's One-Night World Tour

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), is pleased to present its second of three Satellite-based Aviation Navigational Tracking Apparatus (S.A.N.T.A.) reports. The following information regarding Santa Claus' international flight is based on data from AirTran Airways' System Operations Control (SOC) center in Orlando:

After briefly losing Santa on the radar, an eyewitness account confirmed that Santa met up with the Tooth Fairy for a quick bite in Germany, where startled fellow patrons overheard him receive a lecture on his cookie habit. With a new toothbrush and floss in tow, Santa continued westward.
Analysis of satellite patterns show that Santa's team of reindeer showed off their precision flying by performing a geometrically perfect figure eight around the Eiffel Tower before rocketing out of Paris.
A short time later, Santa was spotted taking a short tourist detour in London and wandering through the British Museum, fanny pack attached and camera in hand. He extended his vacation from chimney-hopping at Buckingham Palace, where he had tea with the Queen.
"The Claus" was last seen over the South Atlantic Ocean on his way to Brazil.

Please keep an eye out for the final S.A.N.T.A. update, scheduled to cross the national wire at 7:00 p.m. EST.

AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: AAI), a Fortune 1000 company, is ranked number one in the 2008 Airline Quality Rating study. The airline offers coast-to-coast flights, North America's newest all-Boeing fleet, friendly service and Business Class and complimentary XM Satellite Radio on every flight. Airlines and pilot organizations should reinstate voluntary safety reporting programs to ensure the highest possible level of protection for the traveling public, AIA President and CEO Marion Blakey said Monday.

Recent decisions by several U.S. commercial air carriers to discontinue safety incident disclosure agreements, such as the Aviation Safety Action Program, are troubling, and the parties involved must put safety first and contractual disputes second, Blakey said.

"Programs like ASAP are vital tools in aviation safety and have played a large role in making the last several years some of the safest in history," Blakey said. "These programs should be reinstated as soon as possible."

The voluntary agreements encourage pilots, mechanics, controllers and others to report any incidents that concern the safety of aircraft operation. ASAP has been extremely successful in discovering and identifying safety issues before they lead to accidents, Blakey said.

The programs have been used by most airlines since the 1990s. When incident information is reported through a voluntary program, it is analyzed by a team comprised of airline, union and FAA representatives. The team looks for causes and trends and makes recommendations to improve safety.

AIA member companies enthusiastically support voluntary safety reporting programs and urge airlines and pilot groups to put them back into place without delay.

The countdown feature utilized the DFW server clock to accurately track Santa's minute-by-minute trek around the world and to North Texas.

DFW - What You Need To Know

DFW's nationally recognized Holiday Helpers will also be out in force on Tuesday, Dec. 23 to spread holiday cheer on one of the busiest travel days of the season. The employee volunteers will be deployed throughout the Airport's five terminals helping passengers make their way through security quickly and easily.
DFW has brought the SantaTracker web site and the Christmas Eve phone updates to North Texas children since December 2001. The site can be accessed through the Airport's main page (www.dfwairport.com) by clicking on the Santa image.
The Airport will offer regular updates on the movements of Santa's sleigh by phone beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 23 and continue through midnight on Dec. 24, when all good children should be fast asleep for Santa's arrival.
"Santa is scheduled to arrive on the west airfield on runway 18 left / 36 right, guided by the FAA, he will have easy access to the Airport's General Aviation facility for his quick refueling stop," says Capps. "Last year he only stopped long enough for a 'wink of his eye and a twist of his head.'"

Alaska Airlines has canceled about half its flights today to and from Portland, Ore., and Seattle due to severe winter weather that is limiting its operations. The airline canceled 61 Saturday flights and said more cancellations or delays are possible.

Before leaving for the airport, customers are advised to check for the most current flight status information online at alaskaair.com or by calling 1-800-ALASKA-AIR (1-800-252-7522).

"We regret the impact these cancellations are having on our customers' holiday travel plans," said Ben Minicucci, Alaska Airlines' chief operating officer. "These decisions are guided by our commitment to safety, and we are making every effort to re-accommodate passengers whose flight schedules have been disrupted."

Passengers booked on a canceled flight may re-book on the next available flight without penalty or apply for a full refund of the unused portion of their ticket. Passengers wishing to exercise either of these options should call Alaska Airlines Reservations at 1-800-ALASKA-AIR (1-800-252-7522).

Looking to give more than just "stuff" for Christmas this year? Give a gift that inspires and motivates those you care about. A first flight lesson in a real airplane is an experience that will not be forgotten. Or we have someone that is so special to us, that the sky is the limit when it comes to finding them that perfect gift. This is that gift! It will be a gift that will keep giving memories for years to come. Your gift will be the talk around the Christmas tree.

PilotJourney.com offers a $119 real flight lesson in a real airplane redeemable at over 400 airports nationwide. And since this flight counts toward a pilot's license, the pilot will even get a pilot logbook to record the adventure.

Already recognized on many Top Gift lists, the Discovery Flight program is affordable at $119 and redeemable at more than 400 flight schools across the country. The gift is affordable, unique and may make your gift the biggest hit under the tree.

AirFairs puts the travel experience in the customer's hands

Frontier Airlines today gave the flying public FAIR warning. "We're changing the way you buy and fly," said Sean Menke, Frontier President and CEO.

The Denver-based carrier today announced the launch of AirFairs, Frontier's new fare structure that lets the customer choose the fare level that best meets their specific travel needs. AirFairs offers a choice of three different fare levels: Classic Plus, Classic or Economy, with varying levels of niceties.

"Our customers have spoken and we listened," said Menke. "AirFairs brings choice and fairness back to the travel experience. The customer is now the driver of their individual travel experience. Our three fare levels give our customers the flexibility they have told us they want to arrange their travel to fit their specific budget and comfort needs."

Classic Plus is the ultimate. The Classic Plus ticket is fully refundable, changeable, and provides the customer the ability to confirm a seat on a different flight the same day of travel for no charge. In addition, Classic Plus customers get priority boarding, two checked bags, complimentary DIRECTV(R), an in-flight snack and a premium beverage. Classic Plus customers also receive a 150% mileage credit in EarlyReturns(R), the company's customer loyalty program.

Classic offers the important comforts for the best overall value. For as little as $20 more than an Economy fare the Classic customer gets advanced seat assignments, two complimentary checked bags and DIRECTV(R), and 125% EarlyReturns(R) mileage credit. In addition, they will be charged only a $50 fee for itinerary changes and $75 for same day confirmed changes.

Economy is the basic ticket to ride. The Economy ticket is for the customer who is traveling light and doesn't foresee any schedule changes. The Economy ticket is our guaranteed lowest fare.

Frontier's redesigned website FrontierAirlines.com will make it easy for customers to determine which fare - Classic Plus, Classic, or Economy - is the right fit for their travel needs. The site includes an introductory tutorial and conveniently displays the attributes of each fare level to make booking a breeze.

Frontier's EarlyReturns(R) Ascent and Summit members will receive some added benefits with AirFairs as well.

No matter what fare-type an Ascent or Summit member purchases, the benefits tied to their membership level will always override the attributes of the fare.
Members who purchase a Classic Plus or Classic fare have the ability to accumulate up to 200 percent EarlyReturns miles.
Anyone redeeming an EarlyReturns award ticket, on or after December 18, 2008, will automatically receive an upgraded Classic fare, which will include two checked bags and complimentary DIRECTV(R).
Beginning January 1, 2009, Summit companions traveling on the same itinerary will also receive two complimentary checked bags and the same waived fee benefits as the Summit member.
To better serve our loyal flyers Frontier is eliminating the $25 redemption fee and $75 expedite fee for award redemptions booked on or after December 15, 2008.

During the initial rollout of AirFairs, a few select groups will not use the AirFairs booking tool to book their travel with Frontier. The following customer groups will notice no difference in their Frontier booking experience on FrontierAirlines.com or through Frontier Reservations.

International travelers
EarlyReturns members booking award travel
Unaccompanied minors
Customers flying to multiple cities in one trip
Anyone using a Frontier Airlines gift card as the form of payment.
Frontier's Business Travel Partners and large corporate bookings

For more information on AirFairs please visit our website FrontierAirlines.com.

Airlines announce partnership to serve inter-island travellers

WestJet today announced a partnership with Mokulele Airlines, an inter-island airline based in Kona, Hawai'i. The partnership, designed to enhance service for inter-island travellers, follows an announcement last month by WestJet that the airline was increasing their Hawaiian service to 23 flights per week. This partnership with Mokulele allows those guests travelling with WestJet greater access and convenience in connecting to the many islands served by Mokulele as well as providing the people of Hawai'i greater access to WestJet's network of 51 destinations.

WestJet Executive Vice-President, Commercial Distribution, Dr. Hugh Dunleavy said, "This partnership will provide our guests greater access across the Hawaiian Islands and will assist our guests booking with WestJet Vacations in planning their ideal vacation. Our long-term goal is to be the dominant air carrier to Hawai'i from Canada, and this arrangement helps us move towards this achievement."

Commenting on the arrangement with WestJet, Mokulele CEO Bill Boyer remarked, "We are proud to be sought out as a partner by an airline with the kind of award-winning reputation that WestJet enjoys. This alliance increases vacation options for Hawaiian residents who may find Canada more attractive in these hard times since the American dollar goes further in Canada. I recently flew on WestJet to Calgary and was impressed with the inflight experience. Their customer service is one reason why they are one of the most profitable airlines in North America," he added.

Mokulele and WestJet are finalizing details of an arrangement to promote each other on their respective websites. WestJet Vacations, a division of WestJet, will also be selling sightseeing air tours on Mokulele Airlines.

Sojern, Inc., the first company to bring customized, destination-oriented content to travelers on boarding passes, today announced that Sears will utilize the Sojern advertising platform for its Heroes at Home campaign. Sears selected Sojern's innovative approach to encourage airline travelers during the busy holiday travel season to lend their support to military servicemen and women through the Heroes at Home Wish Registry.

With Sojern's boarding pass advertisements, travelers can learn more about helping military personnel and their families this holiday season. Sears Heroes at Home ads will be displayed on leading airline boarding passes now through December 31, 2008. Sears created the Heroes at Home Wish Registry to help make the wishes of members of the military come true for the holidays and enable Americans to provide a direct 'thank you' to them through an online donation.

This fall, more than 30,000 active military members registered to participate in the Wish Registry at Sears.com. Sears heard from U.S. Service members around the world -- ranging from one soldier just wishing to spend the holidays with his family, to another wishing for simple items after his family's home was destroyed in a fire.

"Sears' long standing commitment to military servicemen and women has driven the company to explore unique ways to inspire Americans to show their appreciation and give back. As one of the first companies to enable mobile giving through texting capabilities, it is clear that Sears looks beyond traditional advertising platforms to find opportunities to connect with Americans and spread the message of saying 'thanks' to members of the military," Gordon Whitten, CEO and founder of Sojern. "Partnering with Sojern is a prime example of selecting advertising that can reach the largest audience in an innovative setting. We're honored to be helping Sears with its Heroes at Home Wish Registry efforts and believe the boarding pass is the perfect medium to deliver their message during this busy holiday travel season."

Americans, who choose to donate to the Wish Registry, can do so on Sears.com through Dec. 24. Upon making a donation, consumers can include a note to the families and wish them happy holidays. Donations to the Wish Registry are not tax deductible and will be used to purchase Sears' gift cards which will be distributed equally to registered families.

Active service personnel who participate in the Heroes at Home Wish Registry will remain anonymous to ensure compliance with the military's standards of conduct regulations.

Last year, Sears Holdings launched the Heroes at Home program to provide support to service members, veterans and their families through joint efforts with various nonprofit organizations, including Rebuilding Together, Inc. Since the program's inception, Sears Holdings has helped to rebuild or renovate more than 200 homes and has raised more than $5 million through the Heroes at Home program for Rebuilding Together.
